Thursday February 9

Language Arts - Students corrected spelling unit 11 and had their unit test today. Look for the new library books your child brings home tonight. Each student should be reading at least 15 -20 minutes per night. Good readers are successful in all academic areas. Most kids this age still enjoy being read to so if you can manage the time to read together even a few times a week it will mean a lot to them.

Math - There will be a Math test next week. Probably Wednesday or Thursday.

Electricity at home

Please take the time to show your kids the breaker panel at home and possibly the fuses in the car. Encourage your kids to take apart an old flashlight to see how it works. Using glossary words your kids should be able to explain how that bulb lights up and maybe even draw a schematic diagram of how it would look on the drafting table.
